Biking miles in place, to put a smile on a face. The Riverfront YMCA's annual, indoor bike-a-thon is an excellent opportunity to bring a friend, be a friend and help support Partners With Youth. Be part of the excitement by collecting pledges and riding with us, or by sponsoring a rider or a bike. There are raffle prizes, great giveaways, and refreshments for the whole family.
2013 Pedal With a Purpose
Thank you to all of you who participated in the 2013 Pedal with a Purpose event. Pedal with a Purpose had over 100 riders for this year’s event at our branch in Cuyahoga Falls. This event raises money for youth programs and scholarships and went over 125% of their goal. A big thank you to Lambert Buick GMC, the title sponsor. This would not have been possible without the PWP committee, Judy Deshon, Brian Berg, and Kara Williams. During the event we had volunteers from the Young Professionals of Akron who come out and assisted with crafts, face painting, and the bounce house. Guest instructor, Karl Reuther, made the final time slot an exciting ride.
