The Akron Area YMCA connects with government officials and programs in order to gain support and recognition of its dedication to nurture youth potential, promote healthy living and foster social responsibility. We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together, so we frequently meet with local, state and federal representatives to accomplish that change.
