We know that this is a difficult time to introduce a new rate structure for membership and have spent a lot of time looking for ways to do more for less. This rate increase is designed to help us stabilize the finances of the center while improving and maintaining cleanliness, maintain safety, introduce new programs, and ultimately improve the facilities and equipment. These new rates will take effect in July 1, 2011. Note: rates include sales tax.

 

Corporate Membership Changes (July 2011)

Current corporate discount members will change from 16% to an 8% discount on July 1, 2011. Then the discount will be phased out in July 2012. We will not offer a corporate discount for new members who join after July 1, 2011.  We believe our membership rates are very competitive and offer the appropriate value without the need to discount.

 

Facility Hours (no changes)

We know that facility hours are very important to every member. Based on your comments, the changes in membership dues will help us maintain our current hours. Therefore the hours will continue to be:

Monday – Thursday             5:30 am – 9:00 pm

Friday                                     5:30 am – 7:00 pm

Saturday                                8:00 am – 2:00 pm

Sunday                                   8:00 am – 2:00 pm

 

Pool Hours (no changes )

The YMCA feels that safety in the pool area is incredibly important. Lifeguards are a key component of safety. 

Monday – Thursday             6:00 am – 8:30 pm

Friday                                     6:00 am – 6:30 pm

Saturday                                8:30 am – 1:30 pm

Sunday                                   8:30 am – 1:30 pm

 

Housekeeping (ongoing)

We know that cleanliness is a paramount concern of the members and the staff. We will continue to schedule our housekeeping staff to maintain a clean facility. We will monitor the success of this method of service delivery and make changes as necessary. 

 

Equipment (July 2011)

We have a plan to replace some of the older Nautilus equipment strength training equipment with a line of CYBEX equipment and install televisions.

 

Facility Improvements (Ongoing)

We are actively working with Coventry School District on finding cost effective solutions for the group exercise floor and heating and cooling issues. 

 

Locker Rental (July 1, 2011)

We will offer a limited number of locker rentals for an annual fee of $150 for full size and $75 for half size lockers.
